About Us
Helvita Trade Sàrl was founded in Lausanne in 2024 to trade agricultural commodities: brewing malts, wheat gluten and flour, vegetable oils, and grains such as flaxseed, safflower and buckwheat. We started with no legacy systems, no paper archive and no habits to unlearn. We built the company around two things: doing the whole job for our partners, and executing every deal properly.

The whole job, not just the trade
A commodity trade is rarely only a price. It is a supplier to find and qualify, a contract to write, wagons or trucks to book, customs and quality documents to get right, and payments to coordinate between several parties in several currencies. Most partners do not want to manage five counterparties for that.
So we take the whole chain. You deal with one company and one person. We source, contract, ship, document and follow up until the goods are delivered and the invoice is settled. If you need a product that is not in our usual range, we will find it, qualify the supplier and handle it the same way.
Modern tools, used for a reason
We run the company on systems we built for ourselves. Every deal, shipment, document and payment lives in one place, and our team sees the same information from a phone on a loading ramp as from the office in Lausanne. This is not a technology showcase: it is how a small team handles a large number of moving parts without dropping any of them.
For you, it means faster answers. Ask where your goods are, what was loaded, or what is still outstanding, and you get a precise reply, not a promise to call back.
What being new means
We do not have thirty years of history and we will not pretend to. What we have instead: a small team where the people who negotiate your deal also execute it, decisions made in hours rather than weeks, and no interest in volume for its own sake. We would rather do fewer deals well than many badly.
Execution is the product
In this business, the difference between traders is not the commodity. It is whether the wagon leaves on the agreed date, whether the certificate of analysis matches the contract, and whether you hear about a problem from us before you notice it yourself. We measure ourselves on that.
Before the deal
-
Supplier checked, specification agreed in writing, route and timing confirmed before we commit.
During shipment
-
Every wagon and truck tracked by number. Documents prepared in advance, not after loading.
On arrival
-
Quantity and quality reconciled against the contract. Discrepancies raised the same day.
After delivery
-
Invoicing and payment settled quickly, in the currency agreed, with a clear paper trail.
